Welcome to VanLife

Here at VanLife we have been building, upgrading and maintinaing campervans and motorhomes for many years.
Established in 2008, we have gained a loyal customer base here in the north east of England. Based in Hebburn & Gateshead, we aim to offer our services at an affordable cost whilst still supplying excellent quality and customer service.

From a fuse change to a full van conversion, we're happy to help.

Complete van conversions

Over the years, we've completed many full van conversions. From small Ford Escort vans to extra long wheelbase Mercedes Sprinters, and most vans in between, including many VW Transporters, Vivaro/Trafics and Boxer/Relay/Ducatos. We can turn an ex-builders van into a vehicle of beauty.

Windows & Vents

At VanLife we're happy to install your windows, roof vents and other additions that require careful preperation of the vehicle body. Cutting big holes in your own pride & joy can be daunting, so why not leave the task to us. We can supply & fit privacy 'bonded' windows, and motorhome style 'double glazed' Seitz/Dometic windows, as well as a selecton of roof vents.

Mains & Leisure Electrics

Habitation electrics can be something thats confusing, time consuming and dangerous if not completed correctly. Here at VanLife we can install full 12v and 240v electrics for you, with correct specification components all completed tidy and safe. We have many leisure batteries and most other electrical components on the shelf ready to install.

Solar Panels

Solar panels are an excellent addition to any leisure vehicle. They charge your leisure batteries during daylight hours, allowing you to remain "off-grid" for longer. Running your fridge, lights and charging your phones is far less of a worry with one of our solar installations. We stock many types and sizes of panels and charge controllers.

Awnings & Rails

We're Reimo and Fiamma stockists and installers. We stock popular roll out awnings like the Fiamma F45, F80 and Reimo Multirail awaning rails. The Fiamma roll out awnings allow shelter and additional living space outside the van. The Multirail is a stylish addition to side of the van allowing you to easily attach and remove a full awning to your vehicle.

Ply & Carpet lining

In addition to our full van conversions, we also offer part conversions, including van preperation, full insulation, wall and ceiling ply lining as well as carpet lining in a variety of colours. Carpet lining can be a little tricky for the beginner, especially on the corners and curves. This is something we can do for you on a 'part conversion'... then leave the rest of the interior build for you to complete to your own tastes.

We are Approved Installers and Warranty Service partners for Lavaner Diesel Heaters.

We have been installing these excellent diesel heaters for a number of years now, and our quality installation process along with our perfect track record hasn't gone un-noticed by the manufacturer. In 2021, Lavaner made us the first 'approved installer' in the UK and also accredited us with the title of being the main UK 'service partner'. We hold most service and maintenance parts in stock, so your heater will be well looked after for years to come.

All of our Lavaner heater installations come with 12 months warranty and Free technical world wide support.

Terms and Conditions


Any dates for services offered are to be taken as unconfirmed, unless you have received a definite 'dated' booking confirmation, either verbally or via email/whatsapp/messenger.
Estimates are valid for 28 days from the date given. Every endeavour will be made to provide the Goods and/or Services by the estimated time, but we shall not be liable for any delay in completing the Goods and/or Services.
We will never pass any of our customers personal details to any other sources.
Whilst your vehicle is inside our premises, we will take the upmost care of it. Some larger vehicles (longer than 6m, or higher than 2.8m) will not fit in our workshop, and therefore will be outside at all times.
Again, whilst the upmost care is taken with all of our customers vehicles, vehicles outside are left at owners risk, as our external signage states. The industrial estate we are situated on has 24/7 public access. If your vehicle needs to be outside of our premises, we will make the customer aware.
Under no circumstances can we accept liability for loss or damage outside of our control (except when such loss or damage is caused by a deliberate act of the Company or its servants). We can not accept liability for any indirect loss, consequential loss, loss of profits, loss of business, loss of use or any other special loss.
The Customer is responsible for checking their vehicle for any damage before it leaves the Company premises. Once the vehicle leaves the Company premises on completion of work, there will be no liability by the Company.
Services must be paid for in full before vehicle is released for collection, unless previously agreed. Cheques will not be accepted.
All parts and labour come with 12 months return to base warranty, some parts carry a 3 or 5 years extended manufacturers warranty.
If any work involves removal of roadwheels, all wheel nuts/bolts should be checked for correct tightness/torque after 50 miles.
Booking your vehicle with us means you accept and agree to all of the above.
